Celestial Navigation - Running Fix
Demonstration of celestial navigation using StarPilot for Apple iPhone/iPod Touch. Sight reduction of 6 celestial bodies is performed followed by the computation of a running fix to determine position at sea. The video illustrates the use of the StarPilot software in typical sextant and celestial navigation scenarios. Running fixes are computed both electronically and by plotting LOPs (lines of position) on a chart.
